The Last News of 2023

Victor Davis Hanson with cohost Sami Winc looks at the final news of 2023 in the US and the Middle East: pro-Palestinian protests on Christmas Day, endless border fiasco, beyond Israel’s war in Gaza, the machinations of Turkey, Qatar and Mexico, and another lawsuit against Rudy Giuliani.

I didn’t find audio for Rudy Giuliani lawsuit.
If omitted, please include in future podcast.
If my oversight, maybe someone can give minute number on podcast.

I like updates on Echo Diesel !!

  2. It’s not only Democrats and the left, you omit the Republican senate leadership(including Texan Cornyn) and their cabal who have supported wide open borders for decades and now fully without reservation.

Somebody else had this all figured out 120 years ago:

“…It is the immigration of ‘the oppressed of all nations’ that has made this country one of the worst on the face of the earth… as always and everywhere, the opressed are unworthy of asylum, avenging upon those who gave them sanctuary the wrongs from which they fled. The saddest thing about oppression is that it makes its victims unfit for anything but to be oppressed…. in the end they turn out to be fairly energetic oppressors themselves.” —Ambrose Bierce

  4. Victor – Thanks for reporting on Turkey, its president, its antagonistic relations with USA and Nato, and its animosity toward Israel and Jews.

Biblically, Turkey will gather with other nations to oppose Israel at the end of the Tribulation period after the Antichrist has established a false peace with Israel.

Ezekiel 38: 1-6 The word of the LORD came to me: “Son of man, set your face toward Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him and say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal…Persia, Cush, and Put are with them, all of them with shield and helmet; Gomer and all his hordes; Beth-togarmah from the uttermost parts of the north with all his hordes-many peoples are with you.”

Gog – Most likely “high” or “supreme one,” a person who is a “prince” from Magog, the final Antichrist

Magog – May refer to barbarians around the Caspian and Black Seas

Meschech and Tubal – Peoples in Asia Minor, the area of Magog, modern day Turkey

    Persia – Iran

    Cush – Modern day Ethiopia

    Put – Modern day Libya

    Gomer – Modern day Armenia

Beth-togarmah – Modern day eastern Turkey

Please see study notes from John MacArthur regarding Ezekiel 38

  5. Dr. Hanson thank you for the pithy and succint video wrapup for 2023. The ending with Eco-Diesel was very frustrating for you and reflected in your voice. Perhaps if you licencesed the opening trailer from the first “Star Wars” movie you could produce a video “Eco-Diesel THE SAGA CONTINUES”.

I have had some experience with small town life in farming communities in the Central Valley as reflected in the two videos on your background. Further thoughts on this pending but so far 3 parts are emerging. See below.
