The Ick of the Left in the Campaign Season

Join Victor Davis Hanson and cohost Jack Fowler in a discussion of Trump and Haley post South Carolina, Biden’s ambassador on the “final solution” for Israel, the Left hounds Christian nationalists, elite “collective knowledge” reduced to the level of “The View,” extra-legal methods to suppress Hunter’s scandals, Laken Riley’s illegal-alien murderer, and political electioneering that destroys democracy.

In other words, Michael Steele was a diversity hire. And he turned to be as good as other diversity hires, such as Kamala Harris, Karine Jean-Pierre, or Linda Thomas-Greenfield. Each one more brilliant than the last!

  2. Conservatives should embrace Laken Riley & family just as BLM/Democrat liberals embraced George Floyd & family. George Floyd was a terrible role model, while Laken Riley embodied many virtues, her training to become a nurse & Christian faith. The illegal alien that murdered Laken should be given the death penalty.

    1. Craig,

I’m anti-death penalty as I believe it gives too much power to the State, but that little devil of my worst nature is saying inject him with 40 ml of gasoline and watch what happens.

Have you noticed the Democrats are desperately trying to shift blame for the massive border crisis onto Republicans? Thanks to Mitch McConnell and that disgraceful border bill he tried to pass they now have the propaganda they need.

The self-induced border crisis that has led to nearly 10 million unvetted illegal aliens entering our country and the preventable tragedy of Laken Riley should be an albatross around the neck of the Democratic party.

Let’s hope the Republicans don’t screw it up.

    2. yes, I agree, and here is something that I found on WSJ: New York let go of the suspect Ibarra last year twice:
“ICE said the New York Police Department arrested Ibarra on Aug. 31, 2023, and charged him with acting in a manner to injure a child less than 17 and a motor-vehicle license violation. New York authorities released Ibarra before the agency could issue a detainer, a request to local police to hold immigrants who could be deported so immigration agents could pick them up, ICE said.

The New York Police Department said there were no arrests on file for Ibarra last year. The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office said it didn’t have a record of the case.”

    3. Here are a few scriptures concerning government exercising capital punishment for capital crimes-

Genesis 9: 5,6 And for your lifeblood I will require a reckoning: from every beast I will require it and from man. From his fellow man I will require a reckoning for the life of man. “Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for God made man in his own image.”

Matthew 26: 52 The Jesus said to him, “Put your sword back into its place. For all who take the sword will perish by the sword.”

Romans 13: 3,4 For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carriers out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer.

Do you ever read any comments from those of us who listen and comment here at the website, or do you only read the iTunes comments?

It’s like there’s been some kind of iTunes rapture and we Blade of Perseus listeners have been left behind.

    1. Just read a long and lovely Blade of P comment to conclude the Feb. 29 podcast. Yes, I look here. Feel free to respond and I’ll read it. Or email it to me at jackrslc@gmail.com. It can include putdowns of the host who mumbles and proves increasingly insufferable.

  4. I was in San Jose last week. Almost all of the businesses are gone. It’s like walking through a ghost town. It looked like it could have been thriving at one time. I can’t tell if this was caused by California lockdowns or no one being able to afford to live there. Amazing! Keep up the good work VDH.

  5. Regarding natural law –

Romans 2:14-16 For when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law. They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness, and their conflicting thoughts accuse and even excuse them on that day when, according to my gospel, God judges the secrets of men by Christ Jesus.

Natural law or the innate moral sense comes from God’s law ingrained on men’s hearts.
