War in 1941, Congressional Disruption, and Military Trim

In this weekend episode, Victor Davis Hanson talks with co-host Sami Winc about 1941 in WWII and current events: Newsome blames Trump for his deficit, Germany bans a political party, Ben Cohen disrupts Congressional hearings, Hegseth plans to reduce generals, Dugan’s defense, and thoughts on Ukraine.

  1. I really enjoyed Victor’s discussion of Germany’s current situation (about 20 minutes in). Although I’ve read a lot about what Angela Merkel did allowing in all the refugees, yet I’ve never heard a discussion like this that pulls the effects off that migration together with the history of Germany.

Like many Americans I have a difficult time understanding the political situation in Europe’s many different countries. Yet Europe is so important both now and historically to America so discussions like this are really helpful.

I’m so happy with what I’m getting out of my subscription and Victor’s books. It’s like graduate school in retirement, only without all the stress because Victor has done all the hard work of digesting the material for me.
