“I can think of three races where Californian Republicans in purple districts clearly won on Election Day—they’ve even had victory celebrations. And then it starts just like this. You start to see the mail‑in ballots and then trickle, tickle, tickle, tickle, tickle, tickle, and the portions have nothing to do with the proportions that were counted before. So if Republicans are 58 points ahead across mail‑in ballots, in‑person voting on Election Day, it doesn’t matter.” The asymmetries will grow, argues Victor Davis Hanson following the now‑projected defeat of Spencer Pratt (who came in second place behind incumbent Mayor Karen Bass on Election Day) in the Los Angeles mayoral primary almost a week after the election, on today’s edition of “Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words.”
Twain is absolutely correct in his view of Democrats in California.
I sure enjoyed TWAINS comment.
This stuff could easily be managed or repaired by a child.
First a Dem primary wherein all the hopefuls are reduced to one chosen Dem to run.
Then another primary with the chosen Dem and the rest of the field ( all others).
Then a State requirement that all voters are proven out voters and somehow preregistered to vote.
Then a check-off of those who voted against those who were too busy to vote on election day.
No mail-ins unless registered as old , infirm, ill, away,
Computer tallies and check offs by mid-night election night. = The WINNAH !
The blame lies squarely on the California Republican party. If they got behind a single candidate and energized their voters, then we would have a chance to at least get a republican into the general election. Instead the party adopts a laissez-faire stance and waits to see who wins. This strategy has proven suicidal in a state where Republicans are a distinct minority.
It appears to be very obvious that these ‘late’ votes are invalid and used to turn elections for Dems. One need only look at whose counting to know what direction things will go. When, if ever, will California and other states wake up to this reality? I sometimes wonder how many actual voters there are – those who are valid – in any given district. I know that in my own state one cannot remove a name from the voter roles, based on first-hand knowledge, for at least seven years or until that person sends a written and signed note that he/she has moved to another state or district. It is very disturbing.
BLUE states are so predictable it seems they don’t even need to have elections. With few exceptions, like Kamala Harris in the last presidential election, the Democrat is picked and the machine starts humming. In NY it was a little different. The people were promised cheap rent and free food. For people who famously condescend to the Midwest they are the yokels. CA is so laid back they must be in a stupor to keep electing an obviously inept and corrupt status quo. The interesting thing about these and other BLUE states is the subtle quiet understanding the vote counters must have that resemble a secret society. One would think a few would get busted, threatened and tell the names and organizational structure that keeps the machine well tuned and running. But the secret society keeps going on uninterrupted like Masons with their leaders, secrets and hierarchy intact over decades.
What can any of us who live by a moral code and integrity expect from any BLUE state now? The corruption is so deep seeded it boggles the mind that these wrongs will ever be righted. And furthermore, the Feds oversight on this political travesty will yield exactly what all us God faring, traditional Americans have come to sadly expect…’Nothing!’ The rule of law is fleeting and the only time any of these criminals and traitors will get justice is when they go to hell.
The folks in California deserve everything that comes with their elections. Democrats cry and complain about “unfair elections and stolen elections” yet oppose any reform of election procedures that would insure fair and honest elections. They are without honesty and integrity, and deserving of the consequences
