Is this America’s fight—or another case of allies sitting on the sidelines? VDH breaks down President Trump’s Iran address, exposing the growing divide between U.S. leadership and Europe’s reluctance to act. From Reagan’s unwavering support of allies to today’s NATO double standards, the contrast couldn’t be clearer. Also discussed is the Supreme Court’s looming birthright citizenship case, and whether the 14th Amendment is being stretched far beyond its original intent and what that could mean for America’s future.
Birthright citizenship is actually a violation of the 14th amendment. Since the U.S. has abolished slavery there is no longer a need for the 14th amendment . When you consider what a true citizen is then Kamala Harris is not a citizen. Her parents were both in the U.S. on student visas, never applied for immigrant status and both eventually left the U.S. after they were divorced. Neither one of them was interested in becoming a U.S. citizen and were under the jurisdiction of foreign countries. Illegal aliens have zero rights under the U.S. constitution as the preamble states it is for ourselves and our posterity. Illegals are not entitled to due process but only to deportation. This nation is becoming a house divided against itself and if nothing is done it will not stand. It may already be too late.
Forget the lawyers, lobbyists & judges! A lot of people want a national referendum on birthright citizenship. Trump himself attended a day of hearings at the Supreme Court. It’s another 80/20 issue, which implies he’s going to make it another issue during mid-terms elections.
Why would the project to go back to the moon be called Artemis? Let’s see:
The ’60s project to go to the moon was called APOLLO.
ARTEMIS is the twin sister of APOLLO.
Hello?
As to the birthright clause of the 14th Amendment, what ever happened to authors’ intentions? The clause was authored by Jacob Howard of Michigan. Howard spent the rest of his life going around making speeches to the effect that he intended it to apply only to the children of the newly freed slaves. The extension due to Hong was understandable and logical.
The intent of the 14th amendment was clear that it only applies to ex slaves and their children, no one else. The idea that it applies to children born to noncitizens actually violates the 14th amendment because it adds in people deliberately not included in the 14th amendment. The intent of the authors of the 14th amendment was clear and a matter of record. There is no room for an implied interpretation. If it is desired to give citizenship to children of illegals then another amendment is needed. Birthright citizenship trashes what it means to be a citizen. This problem if not resolved will lead to the downfall of the country. We have become a house divided against itself.
