  1. Prof Hanson, as an part time student of History, I would rate Pres Trump as one of the four Loose Political Cannons of the United States: Thomas Payne, Andy By-God Jackson, and Teddy Roosevelt. It is the role of the Loose Political Cannon to roll across the deck, smash the gilded woodwork, and to expose the dry rot underneath.

    Do you think Senator Ron Paul deserves more credit for consistently holding to his beliefs? It appears that the fiscal crisis argument is only raised by the out of power party who then soon forget it when they are in power.

    The author of the citizenship clause in the 14th Amendment, Sen. Jacob Howard of Michigan, expressly said: “This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers.” I do not understand what more must be said.
