Victor Davis Hanson American Greatness In the last two weeks, Kamala Harris has been trying to revive her stagnant campaign by smearing Trump as being Hitlerian and a fascist. She claims Trump is planning to put his enemies in encampments. Yet in the modern era, it was not Trump who put large numbers of U.S.… Continue reading Once Joyful Harris Now Goes the Full McCarthyite
Our Ukrainian War Narrative—Paradoxes, Obsessions, and Disconnects
Victor Davis Hanson American Greatness About half of America sympathizes with Ukraine’s plight and wishes to arm it. After all, Kyiv was attacked preemptively by Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, in an effort to decapitate its government and turn the country into a Russian satellite, perhaps similar to the status of a Belarus or… Continue reading Our Ukrainian War Narrative—Paradoxes, Obsessions, and Disconnects
October September Surprises!
Victor Davis Hanson American Greatness An October surprise is usually defined as the well-known (and more often left-wing) tactic of manufacturing or unloading a news story right before voting to surprise a rival without allowing them time sufficiently to respond or recover. Think of the last-minute bombshell disclosure, five days before the 2000 election, that… Continue reading October September Surprises!
Our So-called ‘Experts’ and their Silly Group-speak Letters
Victor Davis Hanson American Greatness One of the most preposterous recent trends has been the political use of supposed expert letters and declarations of support from so-called “authorities.” These pretentious testimonies of purported professionalism are different from the usual inane candidate endorsements from celebrities and politicos. Instead, they are used by politicians to impress and… Continue reading Our So-called ‘Experts’ and their Silly Group-speak Letters
The Media Lies Add Up
Victor Davis Hanson American Greatness The public is exhausted after a decade of chronic untruth from the left-wing and its media. Who Is ‘Destroying Democracy in Darkness?’
Victor Davis Hanson American Greatness The 2023-2024 campaign season is not just the strangest on record, it’s also arguably the most anti-democratic. That allegation subsequently justified a variety of anti-democratic means to neuter… Continue reading Who Is ‘Destroying Democracy in Darkness?’
A Decade of Conspiracists?
Victor Davis Hanson American Greatness Who has most peddled conspiracy allegations the last nine years—all of them false and nearly all of them influencing national elections and public policies? Once a target is constructed as Hitlerian, almost any means necessary to quash that perceived existential threat become justified. And we have seen a lot of… Continue reading A Decade of Conspiracists?
Can We Let the Voters Decide—Not the FBI, CIA, DOJ, Lawyers, Prosecutors, and Judges?
Victor Davis Hanson American Greatness When Donald Trump seemed to have a lock on the 2016 Republican primary, the Democratic Party concluded that the people could not be counted on to do the “right thing” of electing the Democratic candidate in waiting Hillary Clinton. What followed were eight long years of extralegal efforts to neuter… Continue reading Can We Let the Voters Decide—Not the FBI, CIA, DOJ, Lawyers, Prosecutors, and Judges?
The Lies We Have Lived Through
Victor Davis Hanson American Greatness After last Thursday’s debate, Biden himself laid to rest the Democratic lie that he was robust and in control of his faculties. In truth, he demonstrated to the nation that he is a sad, failing octogenarian who could not perform any job in America other than apparently the easy task… Continue reading The Lies We Have Lived Through
How Left-wing Conspiracies Work
Victor Davis Hanson American Greatness Since 2016, there has been a clear pattern to left-wing conspiracies—beyond the obvious fact that they traffic in lies, stereotypes, and paranoia to serve precise political agendas. We now know that the conspiracy to cook up the Russian-collusion hoax—Donald Trump allegedly conniving with Vladimir Putin to rig the 2016 vote—was… Continue reading How Left-wing Conspiracies Work
