Making Sense of Geopolitical Discord and Domestic Chaos

VDH on the border and the US-Latin America diplomacy, the Left never paying a price, Daniel Penny’s indictment, the Biden Administration disaster, Ukraine’s counter-offensive, Greek-Turkish relations, and a cavalcade of movies celebrating Mother’s Day.

  1. Per James Lindsay’s explanation: anything, up to and including violence must be accepted from the left (at this point, encouraged.) Nothing from the right can be allowed from the right. This is part of the onslaught we’re under. As long as the media is in collusion with the left, I don’t see how we recover.

    1. He who justifies the wicked
and he who condemns the righteous
      are both alike
      an abomination to the LORD.
      Proverbs 17: 15

This morning I woke from a dream where I was the FBI Director and had just read the Durham report confirming what I and many others had known for a long time: that the FBI had conducted FISA Court applications, searches, interviews and investigations based on information that they knew to be unreliable yet stayed the course because of a sense of duty to save the country from a perceived threat of a sitting President and his administration. I reread Mr. Durham’s observations on the FBI’s departure from its stated values of “Fidelity, Bravery, Integrity”. I contacted House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan and told him:
“Mr. Chairman, I wish to work with you to dismantle by an act of Congress the existing FBI organization because its culture is too pervasive to be changed by administrative remedies such as retraining or reassignment of personnel. I ask you to appoint a bipartisan group to work with me in distributing the FBI’s functions to other agencies to sustain its excellent investigative and policing functions yet ensuring that never again will such a monolithic federal organization use its powers for self-appointed political purposes.”
    And Mr. Jordan replied:
“I’m happy to work with you on this, Mr. Director. I have a question for you, though. How do you envision your position when we finish this job? You do understand that your power and prerogatives as FBI Director will be significantly diminished and nowhere near their present form.”
And I replied to Chairman Jorda

  3. The reason Republicans always lose noble is because they’re lazy, compromised or straight up corrupt. So when the going gets tough they shroud their corruption in ineptitude.
And the gop faithful put up with it, because they appear to be trying. Until people realize the truth, then you get people like Trump and MTG.

  4. “Knowledge comes, but wisdom lingers.
It may not be difficult to store up in the mind
a vast quantity of facts within a comparatively short time,
but the ability to form judgments requires the severe discipline of hard work
and the tempering heat of experience and maturity.”

    – Calvin Coolidge (30th President of the United States of America)

  5. Good take on Ukraine. Thanks also for reminding us how much the Allies in WWI screwed over their eastern allies. Many of modern woes could have been solved had they kept their promises.

  6. Three truisms regarding rulers, lying and comeuppance –

By justice a king builds up the land, but he who exacts gifts tears it down. Proverbs 29: 4

A lying tongue hates its victims, and a flattering mouth works ruin. Proverbs 26: 28

A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who breaths out lies will not escape. Proverbs 19:5
