Iran, China, immigration, elite institutions, and the future direction of the Democratic Party all point back to a broader debate over power, nationalism, and the stability of the Western world. Growing tensions in the Middle East, questions surrounding the Strait of Hormuz, and fears of conflict with China continue shaping American foreign policy, while political and cultural battles at home are increasingly centered around institutional control, media influence, and ideological conformity.
Dear Victor,
I would write you a nice letter, but after hearing about all the beautiful calligraphy, well, I am not worthy. Thank you for sharing your health updates. Are they therapeutic for you? I listen with a lot of empathy, because I went through a terrifying brain cancer scare in my 40s., and talking about my fears and concerns certainly helped me. I’m 67 now. I laughed to myself hearing you talk about how todays imaging technology can identify all sorts of benign anomilies that are everywhere throughout the body. I got to hear all about mine! But isn’t it crazy hearing people claim that they aren’t afraid of dying? Folks like us have had to face it! What I wanted to thank you about is your genuineness and open character. I don’t have many friends, and it’s nice to feel a connection with you , and to send good thouhts and prayers your way. Get well, Victor, and enjoy life in your family home!
