Political Deception and Its History

In this episode, Victor Davis Hanson and cohost Jack Fowler explore the long line of deception not just in current democratic politics, but also in antiquity and military history.

  1. Some other not very well known history is Douglas Fairbanks Jr. and the U.S. Navy Beach Jumpers. I think there is one or two books about them. Active from WWII through the Vietnam war the group eventually merged into and are part of the legacy of electronic warfare, psyop, and military deception of todays Cyber and Information Warfare units. I had the privilege to host a group of these sailors in San Diego about 20 years ago. Fascinating and memorable experience.

  2. Cranky sourpuss(es) need to lay off Jack. He can get Victor going on any topic and provides a sense of camaraderie and fun. Just a glance at Jack’s CRV should also convince the listener that he is a public figure in his own right. Sami is great too. She knows how to organize a good podcast and keep Victor jumping through the correct hoops to make it work. (Rumor has it that she has Victor’s personally annotated Liddell-Scott-Jones in an amphora that she wears around her neck during podcasts as a sign of authority). Even Frodo needs Sam and Gollum. Even Hannibal needs his Will and Abigail.

  3. Wow I did not realize that Jack Fowler was such a huge fan of Michelle Obama. He thinks she has a great political future. What is up with that? Is Jack a supporter of the Obama agenda? Open mouth and insert foot Jack

    1. Geesh! What’s with the Jack hatred? Would you refuse the former First Lady a mint at a boring funeral rather than “help the opposition”? Saying the true thing is not the same as wanting it to be true. Don’t get sucked into that “all or nothing” thinking the Bolsheviks use!

@24:11 Jack is spot-on. I call it the Costanza Principle, after that great George Costanza line from “Seinfeld”: “Remember, Jerry, it’s not a lie, if YOU believe it.”

I think that is how many liberals and more Leftists proceed through their day.

They’re not lying,. To lie, you have to know that what you say is not true. No, they truly believe the things they say.

Not that believing some that is patently false is that much better than knowing that what you say is false. But there is a moral difference.

Jack Fowler, You’re very foolish. Fauci has been lying since HIV/AIDs went down. Read “Inventing the AIDS Virus”, not yet refuted according to Koch’s Postulates.

    Gentlemen,
When do you post considered replies and when do you don’t? Very disappointed as you never reply.

    Sirs,

You may be Charlatans to “Your comment is awaiting moderation” is Orwellian “newspeak”, don’t you now imagine. I imagine it’s a fault of your management apparatus for now.

Hmm… flooding the two-legger’s site with meaningless posts… a crude, but effective way to overcome their tin foil technology. Perhaps we have over-invested in our Antarctic Mind-Control Ray…
