Crimes and Miseducation

Join Victor Davis Hanson and cohost Jack Fowler as they discuss the crimes of New York lawmakers, the cowardice of protestors, destroying evidence and lying in the name of institutional loyalty, America’s fertility rates, cleaning up universities “Ed Meese” style, and Biden buying black votes with reparations.

“Creative Destruction” is, in fact, one of the best features of a free market. Bad or failed ideas that free people have little use for ultimately die on their own as capital seeks out more productive/profitable uses. Alternatively, subsidized systems can live on forever as academia in its current devolving form will continue to do. Just as we’ll be subsidizing failed “green” ideas like “ethanol” long after chemical energy is no longer a thing, the political/economic feedback loop will keep academia alive until there is a way found to defund it.

  2. …Why are the United States so suicidal? Why are they destroying the Greatest Country on Earth?
It is a pity to watch from the outside.

WE aren’t-the Left is. Leftism is nihilistic, going all the way back to its modern roots in the Jacobin phase of the French Revolution.

No, we aren’t suicidal. But we’re not too capable in dealing with people who don’t play by the rules, but who, when faced with a defeat, cry, scream, call us racist, homophobic, etc. Those people need a smack, whether figurative or literal. We are too weakened by modernity, too squeamish, to act. We think it’s benighted to smack a kid when he has a tantrum. That is the effect of Leftism.

Not suicidal. We’re dealing with a philosophical cancer that has metastasized throughout our society.

Dr. Hanson suggests that young men go to trade schools if they can’t get into “elite” colleges. Who will do this? HEY! How about all of the white boys who are not enlisting in the Army? Then they can marry non-college girls, or those going to sane colleges, and have children!

Karma does seem to take revenge, and I’d sure like to think these liberal DA’s and judges learn a thing or two after it strikes, but I have my doubts… In 2012, Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer was robbed at machete-point on his Caribbean vacation, and his Georgetown home was burglarized months later… in 2004 Supreme Court Justice Souter was mugged by a group of men while he jogged alone in D.C. And way back in 1996 Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg had her purse snatched as she walked to her Watergate apartment from the JFK Performing Arts Center. Did they change their tunes?

    Fantastic Commentary!
Victor would make a great Vice President for President Trump and our country!

Not to put too fine a point on it, but Admiral Byng was executed by firing squad, not by hanging.
The military tradition is that firing squad is honorable, while hanging is for a criminal, a thief, say, who has no honor.

VDH won’t say it, but I will. Schiff deserved it. Every arrogant progressive elitist deserves it.

Doesn’t that conform to the old saying that a conservative is just a liberal who got mugged?
