  1. I often listen to the Mark Simone podcast. He’s usually right about everything, with the exception of maybe the Diddy case. I enjoy hearing what his audience has to say. Many of them are sharp, savvy, no nonsense-sense type people, for example frequent caller Vincent, who always have good insights into all of the current issues.

So, I have question for Jack: As a conservative guy from the Bronx why do you think such intelligent people consistently vote for such dangerous loons as Andrew Cuomo, Bill De Blasio, AOC, and (gulp) Zorhan Mandami? In the case of NY city is the reason the rank choice voting process? Or does it have something to do with blind party loyalty? Or have too many republican voters fled the state?

I know New Yorkers have voted for Rudolph Giuliani, Elise Stefanik, and Lee Zeldin, so maybe there is hope for the Empire state.

I am hoping that someone on your staff reads this an presents it to you for discussion or repudiation. When people tell me that Blacks built this country I always reply that they contributed but ask them how many Blacks, free or enslaved, participated in THE Seminal development event; the building and operation of the Erie Canal. It was the Erie Canal that sparked development on the Ohio River (it was now profitable to send agricultural and manufactured goods to NYC. That development moved down the Ohio to the Mississippi and then North and South from there.
Where does Dr. Hanson place the building and operation of the Erie Canal on U.S. agricultural and manufacturing growth?

  3. Very enjoyable and yes there’s a ‘but’. I think Mamdani in NYC has a lane because crony capitalism, corporatism, doesn’t offer the people much.

Neither does communism, but it sounds good.

I don’t know if this country has ever had wide open free market capitalism.

  4. Such a great overview of the Mandani types. So little critical thinking in higher ed and the media. The “Mandani types” are the contemporary American Bourgeoisie.
