Dr. Hanson – I am very sorry to hear that you and your spouse have contracted Covid again. Please do not stress yourself by feeling you have to maintain your “normal“ hectic schedule. It is OK to rest. I know from experience since I have had long Covid for almost 3 years.
Your mentioning Anthony Fauci caused me to refer you to a study which the “press “does no quote. It is in the New England Journal of Medicine January 29, 2020 volume 382 number 13 by LI, GUAN, WU, et.al. It was supported in part by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease 🦠 whose Director was Anthony S Fauci from 1984 to 2022. The good Doctor Fauci had to be aware of the study if he was not one of the reviewers prior to its publication. The early cases described were severely ill by western standards. They suffered from pneumonia and required antibiotics to be included. The doctors stated that the first four cases identified with Covid on 29 December 2019 were all linked to the HUANAN Seafood Wholesale Market.They failed to note that only two of the first seven cases identified between December 10 and December 18 were linked to the market. That means that 72% of the initial cases had no links to the market. 47 of 425 patients contracted Covid from December 10 to January 1. There were zero cases below the age of 15, 12 from 15 to 44, 24 from 45 to 64 and 11 who were over 65 years of age. 64% of this early cohort was male 55% of the 47 had contact with the market. Victor, as a physician who has treated over 2000 Covid patients, I can say unequivocally that the medicine you took is useless. The manufacturer had to “massage” the study to get approval. I can tell you from extensive experience that ivermectin, taken early, is a near miracle for Covid. I’ve had it three times and my symptoms lasted about 24 hours after starting ivermectin. Zinc is helpful as is vitamin D but if you wait until you have Covid to start it, it is too late. Vitamin D levels build very slowly. I try to get all my patients to a level of 60-80 ng/ml which gives dramatic protection against Covid as well as cancer, cardiovascular disease and dementia.
Victor: There are medications for specific maladies for which the data had to be “massaged” to get FDA approval. As a physician who has treated over 2000 Covid cases with ivermectin, I can say it is a near-miracle. Must be started early and taken with food but normally gives relief of symptoms in 24-48 hours. I disagree that Sam Rothstein was creepy in “Casino”. Unscrupulous and brutal, perhaps, but not creepy. As far as one-dimensionality goes, he did do a decent job with comedy in “Meet the Parents” and “Analyze This”. Though the latter really was just a caricature of a stereotype.
He also did a good job in “The Deer Hunter”, and as Capone in “The Untouchables”. Though that role was also more of a caricature.
Otherwise, yes, he’s pretty much played the same character in nearly every movie he’s been in, and from his recent outbursts, he played himself.

Hippocrates in 400 BC was the first epidemiologist. He noted that data needs to be collected about the location, season, occupation, personal pursuits, and other information. He was able to show that stagnant water during the summer was related to dysentery. Jon Snow in the 1800s was able to stop a localized cholera outbreak after carefully mapping the cases by removing the handle on the Broad Street pump in London. No indication they mapped the market in Wuhan, which covered 12 acres. Inferred a wild animal caused the outbreak, but never found the virus on or cultured it from an animal. Said the first four cases identified on December 29, 2019 were linked to the market, but the bar graph showed six cases were identified and only two were linked. Purposefully misleading? There were no cases of children found out of the 425. Fauci,”follow the science”,close the schools, loose 2 yrs, mask the 3 year olds!
