In this weekend episode, Victor Davis Hanson considers more campaign news from the week — Trump isn’t weaponizing assassination attempts, Walz on the electoral college, and Biden’s stealth in a time of failing health — and assesses the Battle of Britain in 1940.
I like to apply Reese’s description of the Terminator, from the movie, to Leftists. Slightly paraphrased, “They can’t be bargained with. They can’t be reasoned with. They don’t feel remorse, or pity, or fear. And they absolutely will not stop, ever!”
See, because individual responsibility is a conservative value, and that we individuals must each rule ourselves, and then society orders itself accordingly, we don’t feel a need to meddle with each individual directly.
But Leftism/Progressivism comes from the same philosophical roots as the other -isms whose roots lie in the Jacobin phase of the French Revolution. It does not believe in letting individuals rule themselves. It believes the opposite-that the State, the government, the collective, whatever label we give it-is superior to the individual, must rule the individual. That makes it a totalitarian worldview. And since it believes that individuals cannot rule themselves, the State must rule them, to perfect them and create a Utopia.
It’s not even enough that individuals act as Progressives want them to act, they must think as Progressives want them to act. They must be conditioned to think as Progressives want them to act, re-educated to think that way. Anyone who will not, must be eliminated. “For the good of the State/society/the collective.”
That’s why they will not stop, ever.

For the first time after years of not missing an episode, I can finally fact-check the master based on my own knowledge as an Annapolis-educated aerospace engineer and Naval Aviator. Victor was off by a factor of two on the bomb load of the Lancaster bomber. It could carry a maximum of 14,000 “pounds,” not 15 “tons.”
What I am really saying is that VDH completely humbles me with his expansive knowledge of so many consequential topics. Bravo Zulu!
So, in a Democrat worldview, the state is so much superior to the individual and therefore must rule the people in their thoughts and behavior so that a progressive society is formed.
This type of hubris is reserved for those who believe themselves to be God and want to rule over others as God.
This is what Satan strives to do, rule in the place of God. He is referred to as “the god of this world,” “the prince of the power of the air,” and “the spirit who is now at work in the sons of disobedience.”
Now we know why it is so important to establish laws to sanction racism, abortion, licentiousness, and transgender delusion while punishing those who disagree.
2 Corinthians 4:4 In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
Ephesians 2:1-3 And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience-among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.
I have one thing to say and you can look it up: The United States of America gives $40 million a week to the Taliban. The Biden administration and the State Department calls it “Foreign Aid”. I call it treason. Listen to Shawn Ryan’s podcasts on the matter. Apparently, the Taliban and Al Quida bigwigs take generous cuts of this money for their retirement programs and jihad. The US are literally funding jihad against thenselves. How about that for an October Surprise? LOOK IT UP!!!
