  1. Professor Hanson,

You ARE a National Treasure. Happy to have you back. Take your time returning in your entirety. It is vital to get your health back and return to life– that includes enjoying your family and friends. We can wait. Realize that your purpose has been fulfilled.

    Thank you.

  2. “Hello, Victor,
    Well, hello Victor,
It’s so nice to have you back where you belong…”

Glad you’re feeling better and getting your mojo back.

Welcome back to the airwaves, Victor. We are deeply thankful that your recovery went well and that you’re back doing what you do best. It’s clear that many prayers were answered, and we’re grateful beyond words. Your lifelong dedication to scholarship, truth, and clarity has truly made a difference in this world.

  4. Thanking the LORD Who heard our prayers on your behalf Dr. Hanson! It was a blessing to hear you broadcast again! Thank you for sharing your wisdom and insight!!! My prayers continue for your total recovery and good health.

  5. Victor welcome back. The Holocaust has traditionally referred to the 6 million Jews who died as a result of the the 1935 to 45 persecution. Growing up within Jewish neighborhoods and communities and with Jewish relatives!, the point was very clearly stated to all of us that the 6 million Jews were the ones being commemorated by their own. Sort of a way of sitting Shiva to mourn their dead. When questioned about the other up to six million who also died in the camps… the statement was yes this is a tragedy too. Their people need to commemorate, honor, and mourn them. But that the Holocaust that the Jews commemorate is about their own. I recall some Poles, Gays, and Roma (gypsies) doing some recognition and commemoration but haven’t seen anything like that in at least 20 years. So Holocaust means and always has meant in the Holocaust memorial context… deaths of the Jews and Vance did not in any way err by not further defining it by the word Jew or Jewish.

Sometimes Victor I think you too quickly throw our guys under the bus and give the other side more grace. I think you do so to be fair, but the world is already at a tilt.

  6. Victor Davis Hanson – I love your work (currently reading your books) and your presentations to the public. When hearing that you’re experiencing health concerns, you’ve been lifted in prayer – by me and my friends who also love you. Please know that a lot of us out here enjoy and appreciate you.

  7. Victor’s return is the Good News! Sweet Sami continues to delight. Jack, the rock, deserves a well-earned rest.

  8. We have so missed you, been praying for a complete recovery. Please know how important and comforting you are to us out here in the trenches. VDH is back and all is right in the world!

  9. What a relief to have you back! First things first, of course. I’m impressed, inspired, and encouraged.

  10. Hello Victor!

My wife and I were SO happy to see your first post-surgery podcast!… You look and sound great, and your mind is as sharp and brilliant as ever! We know that you still have a long road of recovery ahead, but we are thrilled that you are heading in the right direction. You are TRULY a National Treasure…

You will continue to be in our thoughts & prayers ….. Rich & Susan

  11. Dr. Hanson, I thank our Lord for watching over you, your family and medical professionals through your surgeries and recovery. I am praying you continue healing and wish you the best. Please know that many of us need your commentary on events to get a reasonable and intelligent understanding of our deteriorating society. I sincerely hope you have a full recovery and thank you.

  12. Welcome back! You were missed. I went through a serious medical problem in my seventies as well, and lost all muscle mass. Now at 81, I have been able to build it back somewhat. It is a good feeling that I am sure you will experience as well.

Mr. Hansen: hope you are feeling better; you are a national treasure and I really learn a lot from listening to you. Really used to enjoy your conversations with Milt Rosenberg on Extension 720. Two great intellectuals enlightening the WGN radio audience. Thanks and get well quickly. My turn next week with the bone crackers; I plan to listen to all your recordings or videos during recovery. Best Wishes; Claude Schlecker

  14. Victor, it is so refreshing and encouraging to hear your thoughts once again. I hope that President Trump and his team will take to heart your advice about focusing on public perception up until the midterms: Talk about the great things already accomplished, and focus law enforcement in more hospitable cities. You are not merely a great historian, but even more, a great prognosticater – certainly a notch above Punxsutawney Phil!

  15. Today felt like Christmas morning. What a wonderful gift to have you back, Victor! And Sami too! I appreciate Jack as well because he has been doing an amazing job in your absences.

I’m still praying for your full recovery, we need your insight and wisdom for years to come.

Thank you to the whole team for keeping this show going!

  16. Nice to have you back, albeit at your own pace Victor. I miss hearing that voice of reason in a sea of stupidity. As always, you and family are in my prayers.

  17. Victor, it’s wonderful to have you back!!! Jack & Sammi did admirable jobs filling in for you, but there is only one YOU! We continue to pray for your full recovery, our friend!
