In this news roundup VDH and Sami cover Trump sinking a Venezuelan cartel drug boat, the media speculating that Trump might have died, whether the National Guard should go into Chicago, Europe’s political and social challenges, the rise of censorship, Ilhan Omar’s millions, and more.
Dr Hanson and Ms. Winc: You complain about the deterioration of Western society while contributing to it in every single podcast. You continually refer to our President as “Trump” (Ms. Winc more than Dr. Hanson). Is he your subordinate or “asshole buddy”? Is that how your mothers raised you? How do you think your mothers would feel about you referring to the President as just “Trump”? He doesn’t help but he is a Queens contractor. I notice that his children, like Laura Trump always refers to him in a more respectful manner. I personally despise Presidents Obama, Clinton, and Biden, but always refer to them respectfully because it reflects on me.
Obviously Congress cannot cancel SCOTUS, but Congress should immediately cancel all the lower level Federal courts.
But if Congress would cancel the courts, this would end all the judge-shopping by the Democrats…..
Wouldn’t this be nice?
David Sanger of the New York Times writes the US has adopted an unjustified policy of bullying because the United States ordered the destruction of a drug laden ocean going vessel from Venezuela operated by a terrorist drug cartel. Such a charge parallels previous claim by Times’s previous editor Bill Keller who argued US missile defenses were a search for an “unfettered” US security policy that sought to “neutralize the power of countries such as North Korea and Iran”, (as if this was a bad idea!)
Mr. Sanger seems unaware that from 2002, American presidents have used drones to kill 3500 people in some seven nations —-Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somali, Yemen, Iraq, Libya and Syria including in 2011 an American citizen such as al-Qaeda terror chief Anwar al-‘Awlaki. The USA did not use courts of law and urge terrorists to turn themselves in or convene discussions of the terrorist’s “grievances.” One President even told Americans he had a “kill list.”
Not all the threats to the USA can be resolved through diplomacy. As Dr. Henry Kissinger wrote: “Diplomacy without the threat of force is without effect.” Former Senator Malcolm Wallop put it this way: “Diplomacy without the threat of force is but prayer.”
David Sanger of the New York Times believes the United States has adopted an unjustified policy of bullying because the president of the United States ordered the destruction of a drug laden ocean going vessel from Venezuela.
Such a charge parallels previous Times claims that the development of missile defense under President Bush was an attempt by the USA to have an “unfettered” ability to deal with threats to America’s security.

No court cases were involved. The USA did not say “pretty please” for the terrorists to turn themselves in. One president even told the country he had a “kill list.” To which Mr. Sanger had no concern.

So I pay a subscription and now get 10 minutes of commercials before VDH starts and then commercial breaks every 10 minutes?
Making a death threa comment against the sitting president can lead to some rather serious consequences…a friend of mine, when somewhat intoxicated shouted in a crowded bar “That SOB should be shot!” It was an outburst regarding something Kennedy was proposing back in 1963…a few days later someone shot the president…my friend (in northern Ohio)was subsequently under FBI investigation for the next six months, had to prove his previous whereabouts for the year prior….it was a bit of a horror show. I learned of the situation when I just commented in a moment of anger about some one that “he should be shot” and he warned me never to say such a statement lest I be prepared to defend myself should someone actually do it. Fascinating that a sitting politico should make such statements.
