With Iran’s military capability seriously degraded, one of the major questions is whether regime change can be effected by air power alone or if grounds troops would have to be committed in support of a popular, but largely unarmed, uprising. Victor Davis Hanson provides his take on how the war is progressing thus far, the recent primary results, Ukrainian strikes against Russia shadow fleet, and more.

The normal “play” screen does not show up, only a mostly gray area.
I’ve tried with both Edge and FIrefox.
Victor, I really enjoy your podcasts on u-tube. Being a Vietnam Veteran and having served my country, one acquires a certain perspective other than the normal citizen. I love history. If I hadn’t majored in Architecture, which was my career, I probably would have majored in history. I once heard the phase “America’s democracy has always been a noisy democracy.” How true. Every war/conflict has had it’s adversarial resistance. Revolutionary war, Civil War (NY Draft riots), WW1 (Wilson running on keeping us out of the war), WW2, Big isolationist movement,: I even saw a video of a nazi rally in New York City!, Korea, (Big criticism that we got caught with our pants down!), and of course Vietnam which was prosecutedand drawn out using mostly WW2 methodology. Saw that one first hand, (1969, 1970). Because of our dependent culture, because of our natural complacency, less than 1% serve, when it comes to our military, most American’s cannot stand a long drawn-out war involvement! On that note, one of my favorite phrases is inscribed on my American Legion Post door; “For evil to succeed, all it needs is for good men and women to stand by and do nothing!”
It is always a pleasure to hear or read you Victor. I am Spanish from Asturias (the beautiful green north where the Reconquista started)
The other day you’ve been talking about Spain, don’t take this guy we have as PM very seriously as he is only trying to hide a see of corruption he’s got approaching him, this guy is a disgrace, something between AOC and Gavin Newsom.
As you said our economy was growing but only for the fact that we are almost 50M people now with all the new “Spaniards” but don’t tell me how big is the pizza, tell me how many we are at the table…
And yes, we used to have great infrastructures but since this guy got into power maintenance has deteriorated so much, they are spending all the money in keeping people.
In fact, I am a huge fan of California landscapes and I have been visiting almost every two years since 2008, Spanish roads have deteriorated so much in this time lapse that California roads don’t look that bad anymore (apart from the litter than mostly illegals through on them that is quite an issue for you there)
I have been trying to explain here in Spain the issue you are having with immigration during the last years that you have explained so many times: the ones that come here as visitors and then try to stay are not the same that try to sneek into the US, ours are people from Colombia, Paraguay or Ecuador who are paying 1000 for plane ticket and they are literate, the ones you are getting through the frontier in Usa many are illiterate .
It seems logical that some U.S. troops will have to be deployed to remove enriched uranium in Iran, if it hasn’t already been secreted to Russia. Otherwise, let the Kurds, IDF, armed Christians & Arab coalition deal with the IRGC, BRF, etc.
P.S. Victor, you’re funny! Please do more impersations!
Hello Victor, you might be intersted in TousiTV on YouTube, if you haven’t heard of this channel for information about what’s going on in Iran with local people.
