Listen to Victor Davis Hanson and cohost Jack Fowler discuss tariffs and stock markets, DOGE’s recent work, female fencer refuses to fight trans, colleges need to remediate, Rubio on Europe funding NATO, Australia regulates beef, proxy vote for new parents in Congress, and many more Federal funds go to NPR and PBS than they let on.
I’m recuperating from a sinus infection right now, as a matter of fact, Victor. I get a couple a year, more, since COVID and having taken 2 Moderna shots before I said, “Enough of this BS!”
It starts with a sore throat in the morning; I wake up with it. As that first day goes on, the sore throat goes away, and my sinuses get inflamed, and I get congested.
I just tough it out. Lots of strong black tea, good and hot, with local honey. Lots of Hall’s for the congestion. And a lot of Kleenex. I try to get more sleep than usual, too, and I eat a lot of hot soup.
No drugs. I don’t like pharmaceuticals, I think they do more harm than good to our bodies.
Occasional shots of Jägermeister, too. The alcohol soothes my throat, and it has pretty much the same herbs used in a Ricola. A shot of rum or whisky will do as well.
In about a week to 10 days, the symptoms are gone.

I don’t think anyone monitors these response threads; in any case, it’s faster to contact support directly.
Those addresses are available if you click the hamburger menu, the three horizontal lines, in the upper left corner of the page, next to the “Blade of Perseus” banner, and then click “Contact Professor Hanson”. These addresses show in the page that loads.
Hope that helps.
Hello again Dr. Hansen.
Sorry I’ve been away for a while.
I just re-upped my subscription and was listening to your podcast with much enjoyment when you mentioned your chronic sinus issues. I recently read an article that partially addresses a treatment for your problem. It refers to Nattokinase, some of which I keep with my meds. My wife takes it for successfully treating her osteoarthritis.
It is sold over the counter by retailers.
It helps with many different problems.
Here is a quote from the attached article%: “Nattokinase has many other reported health benefits, including reducing blood pressure, reducing chronic sinusitis, relieving COPD, and improving gut microbiome health, according to the doctor.”

Dear Mr Hanson,
Post the WuFlu, think it was Dr Scott Atlas that mentioned swabbing your nose & gargling with hydrogen peroxide?
I’m not a doctor, but did sleep in a holiday inn express once. Cheers
Best Regards,

Dear Victor,
I discovered you quite by accident several months ago and am enjoying your podcast commentaries. The reason I’m writing is because I have begun quoting you and don’t want to cross a line that might be considered plagiarism. I write for a small (and I mean small) weekly, local newspaper, The Lakeview Area News. Lakeview is a couple hours due north of Hillsdale. I always credit you as the source, but in the spirit of rigorous honesty, wanted to let you know. You quite often state my views clearer and more concisely than I could. Please advise me if I should not be quoting you, although I think I’m doing a service to our readers by helping to spread “the gospel according to Victor.” Thanks for all you do.
