I am originally from North Carolina, so not Canadian, but I wanted to mention that after Hurricane Helene, Canadian linemen arrived in North Carolina to help restore power. This is a post from my cousin who lives in Montreat, North Carolina, dated October 6, 2024: “The linemen who restored power on my street were from Ontario Canada…. I saw another truck today and stopped and asked if they were from Canada too … He said yes… I asked how many were here from Canada…. He said 1000….500 bucket trucks and that they are all retired and between the ages of 55-70!!!!
