During WW2, my Dad was stationed with the 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Riley, KS which was where I first heard your theme tune, “Garryowen,” an old Irish tune though I didn’t recognize it as such at the time. After I joined a highland pipe band 50 years later, I found that it was a tune included in the band’s St. Patrick’s Day repertoire .
