  1. Victor and Sami, so appreciative of the discussion on the good and bad of our migrant ecosystem in California. Victor lives and sees the reality of it in the Central Valley of California. He knows the real people involved and is a voice of both reason and kindness. Question:what if, in a model like Victor described where migrants who are bonafide contributors to our communities could stay in the US under a green card program without fear of deportation, US citizens could pay the fines for specific illegal migrants by name, who they know personally and wish to have remain in their communities? Maybe then we could all see, as could the people we wish to integrate among us, who really cares. A guess? The people who help the migrants they know personally would not be virtue signaling progressives, They’d be us. Wonder if the country might end up with a couple million aspiring middle class non-progressive citizens. Imagine the massive backfire for George Soros and friends. Love you guys, be well. 🙂

  2. Regarding illegal immigration, I’ve always wondered why the question of ultimate citizenship seems to be unchallenged. Couldn’t the law simply be if you enter the US illegally, you can never be a citizen. Period. You may possibly obtain legal residence and live your life here, but citizenship (and voting) is out. Unless I’ve missed something, that isn’t the case now and I’ve never heard the question raised in any discussion. If it would take an act of Congress and we don’t have the 60 votes in the Senate, I get it. But no one ever even ventures to suggest it. Instead, we have an endless argument over a “path to citizenship”. VDH, forgive my ignorance but can you enlighten me? Love the show.

  3. Bottom Line: We can’t affordabe these illegal aliens that burden our social services, schools & law enforcement agencies. Most are uneducated & unskilled with no health care. They have to go home and apply for green cards or asylum like everyone else. No one is above the law, as so many liberals are wont to say.
