  1. Another thoughtful podcast
Thank you, VDH, and Jack. Jack’s soft humor and light sarcasm is so darn enjoyable and helps to make my mornings better to just know others have similar views.

Regarding T’s big, beautiful bill, agreed; it’s a little disconcerting to think we’ll soon be over $40 trillion in debt. At this rate, it won’t be long for all the nation’s gdp will go for the interest.

Regarding Professor Hanson’s comments on the state of our big cities, we fled the burbs of Seattle in 2022. It’s just too crazy around there.

If history teaches that cities led to the growth of great civilizations, what does the decline and rot on the streets of our great cities now say about us? There seems to be no metric whatsoever that would indicate they lead us anywhere except downward. Civics has been absent in classrooms for multiple decades. The resultant big city, dumbed down voters over and over again vote in politicians that actually bring in more degeneracy and decay. That Mayorkas was not tried and sent to Nayib Bukele is further indication of the depth of decay here.

Trump is trying like Hercules but daily one sees the friction brought to him by the courts, rinos, media, leftism that saturates our society. The stress apparent in his eyes is concerning. Thank goodness, we have Rubio or Vance or Jr. in the wings.
