This might be a little awkward, but as you discussed the typical NPR host’s delivery, I’m reminded that Sami’s delivery has always reminded me of a typical NPR host. Or the NPR spoof sketches, “The Delicious Dish” on Saturday Night Live back in the 90s.
I stopped listening to my local NPR and PBS stations 20+ years ago when they said they were commercial-free, then ran all kinds of “commercials” for their sponsors. I agree that NPR and PBS should be defunded. If they are a viable resource, then local donors will still give them money during their week-long panhandling telethons.
