In this episode, Victor Davis Hanson and cohost Jack Fowler discuss Trump’s America First Manifesto contrasted with Obama, how Mexico thinks DJT is unserious, Greenland’s status, facing China’s Belt and Road Initiative, meritocracy’s comeback, de-DEIing the university, the irony of Biden and mental fitness, and the anniversary of the Alger Hiss conviction.
Dear Professor Hanson,
I strongly disagree with the person who thinks you are overexposed. I would ask that person to kindly scroll to something else while the rest of us benefit from your vast expertise, your wealth of knowledge and your endless wisdom. Thank you for all you share! Jack and Sami are amazing as well!
With gratitude,
Merrie Hupp
In June 2021 I was in Belgrade, Serbia for a wedding and just happened to be in the neighborhood where the US Embassy is located. The gay pride flag on the building was huge and the actual American flag was barely visible. I took and photo and tried to paste it here but wasn’t able to. I must say, I was a bit shocked at how large the flag was. My Serbian hosts weren’t impressed.
As an “immigrant nation,” whose unity and cohesion depends upon assimilation, the United States should have made English its official national language a long, long time ago.
That lack permits an arrogance among some immigrants often thanks to their U.S.-native liberal supporters who want to “bring it all down, man…”
The 1980s courtesy of “press 1 for English” and multi-language ballots and DMV services were among the numerous cracks in the cultural wall that lead to DEI.
