It is too bad that Sinclair Lewis is not alive to write a sequel to “It Can’t Happen Here.”

It has always amazed me that a certain number of people can see the craziness of
these politicians and their endless reasoning to continue the craziness and the other
group that will accept the craziness as being reasonable and continue to vote for it.
I think its just the nature of people and it won’t change for what ever reason.

Good interview. Succinct summay of some major problems in the Golden State. At some point, the lack of common sense makes you wonder how these politicians get re-elected to office, but that seems to be the case most everywhere, as so evident in Minnesota.
Since states can’t print money , the mismanagement and deficits will become major issues in the near future with the cutbacks in federal funding for various programs.
I guess it’s the old story, that you have to starve government of tax revenue to affect change – which is happening now with so many wealthy people in particular leaving California along with their state taxes.
