  1. I waited my adult life for a Republican who wouldn’t back down. I recall my joy at Romney’s first debate with Obama when he showed some spine and won the thing, only to collapse after that. Everyone else allowed the press to browbeat them and would end up cowed and compliant. All of them, all the time. And then there was Trump. We finally got the real deal and he keeps beating them at their own game. Crude maybe, but with guts. At last. And by extension, he’s given backbone to others and shown them it can be done. Bless him and more power to him. By the way Jack, it was the Saint’s Drew Bries whose strong support for police he related to his family members military sacrifices, only to melt into putty the very next day. Such were the pressures post St. George.

  2. It’d be interesting to hear Victor’s views on the U.S. largely withdrawing its financial support of the U.N. and establishing a League of Democratic Nations with certain criteria for membership. In spite of our massive support of the U.N., developing nations often act contrary to our interests, mainly on the take. We can still trade with member nations on some basis, but in-gathering with freedom-loving people might be cathartic and more productive in terms of advancing the cause of democracy.

  3. It was not Drew Bledsoe who caved to woke cancellation. It was Drew Brees. Both great quarterbacks with similar names.

  4. As an employer I have been required to maintain an “I-9” (immigration) form for each employee which includes a $10,000 fine for not meeting this requirement (for every current employee I expect). These forms are not required to be submitted to the federal government but must be maintained on hand for possible inspection. Seems to me a couple of well publicized inspections and subsequent fines would go a long way to discourage employers from hiring illegal aliens. One more arrow in the quiver?
