Decisively winning in 1967. Hear me out. I am jewish. Born in 1953. My mother was born in 1917. When I was young & i would ask “ where are all the anti semites? I don’t see them”. She would explain that the period after WWll to the present was the anomaly, for the balance of time anti semitism was front & centre and at present with fresh memories of the holocaust and the precarious existence of Israel combined to create unique and sympathetic circumstances for Jews. That ended with the war in 1967. Jews went from helpless victims to arrogant conquerors overnight. And with it the inevitable restoration of the normal social disdain for things Jewish. After all, if society could not blame you for communism, they could blame you for capitalism and if that didn’t resonate there was always deicide. The only difference was the “never again” crowd possessed a nuclear arsenal and the smoking gun became a mushroom cloud. So here we are, now try and explain it to the children who have been educated with intersectional filters.
