We were told by Dr. Fauci that no way, no how did the coronavirus originate as a gain-in-function, engineered virus in the Wuhan Level 4 Lab.

Few believed that—given there were no prior examples of Covid-infected animals prior to human cases. And the Chinese government had stonewalled all investigations of the original pathogen. And from the beginning, dissident scientists had argued that the genomic sequence of the virus more likely reflected evidence of lab tinkering or engineering than animal to human transference.

Then when redacted emails under court order emerged that Fauci and others were deeply involved in promoting gain-of-function research (albeit masked by euphemistic and misleading terminology) by rerouting U.S. funding through the third-party Peter Daszak’s EcoHealth Alliance to the Wuhan lab, the ensuing ramifications were mindboggling.

Was a U.S. role even conceivable in sending expertise or money or both to a shoddy lab that birthed and then leaked, likely by accident, the death virus that killed millions worldwide?

Now, those who were damned as liars, slanderers, nuts, and conspiracists, were largely prescient while their false accusers never offered either apologies or any other scenario that better explained the plague’s embryo.

Now we suffer yet another concocted iteration from Dr. Fauci, the latest namely that someone who was naturally infected by some sort of unnamed animal went into the lab and from there the natural pathogen infected others who just happened to be working on gain-in-function, but unrelated viruses. Presto! Fauci has found a way to split the difference in Solomonic fashion: yes, an animal, not scientists, created the virus, but also yes, in “can’t we all get along” fashion, it is understandable that the lab was targeted as the culprit since the poor pangolin-sniffing or bat-bitten worker had no idea what he was spreading at work or perhaps allowed his blood to be studied and then the natural critter jumped out of the petri dish.

Ditto the lies we were told that the Covid quarantine would retard the viral spread to the point of nonexistence. We were assured that any ensuing quarantine damage—from shutting down the economy, isolating citizens in their homes, firing workers from government, closing schools, making it nearly impossible to get medical checkups, tests, and surgeries, not to mention inevitable spikes in suicides, substance, and familial abuse—would not exceed the death toll from the virus.

Those who objected were demonized by the same crowd who promoted the bat/pangolin narrative.

The same smearing people also assured us the mRNA vaccinations prevented people from becoming infected and spreading the infection. Originally, the public was not subject to mandated vaccinations since anyone who chose to be vaccinated was told that they were safe from anyone who chose not to: live and let live, as the cool and wise people—in the fashion of flu shots—got vaxxed and left it to the deplorables and denialists to spin theories and die from Covid.

But within a year, we learned that one could get Covid (or Long Covid) despite being vaccinated and later boostered as well. Additionally, we learned that young healthy men might be in as much danger from side effects from the mRNA vaccinations as from the symptoms of the Covid-19 virus itself.

More or less, the same progressive establishment night after night also had told us the 2016 election was “rigged” (Dr. Jill Stein was the first to question the integrity of the voting machines, Rep. Bennie Thompson, chair of the January 6th Committee, one of the first representatives to claim voting fraud and thus to vote against ratifying the election of 2004, Stacey Abrams the first to claim election fraud to the extent that she was the “real” governor of Georgia, and Hillary Clinton and Jimmy Carter the first in tandem to claim an elected president was “illegitimate” and had not been lawfully elected.)

FBI contractor, Hillary Clinton employee, GPS/DNC/and Perkins Coe paid Christopher Steele was canonized, his pseudo-dossier was referenced on the Left in near biblical, near Michael Avenatti-like terms, despite the warning that much of the dossier was not just not true but could not possibly be true.
