From an Angry Reader and Not Angry Reader:

From my leftist point of view, you just look like a dumb, racist old man…babbling on about mixed-race kids, whites this, whites that.

You are such a stupid, shitty human.

Love,
Adam Jacobs Amerikkkan leftist

Dear Angry Reader Adam Jacobs,

Well, given as you say from your “leftist point of view,” I take that as a compliment.

Nonetheless, you richly deserve a 9 on the Angry Reader scale, given in just a few words you managed to combine personal invective and obscenity without even a shred of argument, analysis, or data.

Otherwise, could you cite/quote a single word or sentence that I have spoken or have written that could possibly be interpreted as racist?

Of course, you cannot. So, you revert to the same old, same old predictable Leftist potty mouth (“shitty”) slurs and smears.

And what is the purpose of your embarrassing finale “Amerikkkan”?

Are you trying to resonate with the Klan by your tripartite self-identification as a) a leftist; b) an American; and c) an admirer of the KKK?

I wonder why no one has questioned Governor Waltz’s, often-stated; “…opportunity…” to travel to, and then reside and teach High School in Communist China.

Who or what entity afforded him this “opportunity”, and what did it consist of? How did his residency and employment in Communist China affect his Nebraska Army National Guard membership? Did he have a security clearance while he was employed by the Communist Chinese Government?

Additionally, there are those 30 or so trips to ‘Red’ China for groups of American high school students. Who authorized and financed them, and for what purpose? It seems to me that Governor Waltz may have closer ties to the Chinese Communist Party than either Congressman Eric Swalwell or the late Senator Dianne Feinstein.

Thank you for your good work, sir. I am a ‘fan’ of you and your colleagues at the Hoover Institute, and an autodidact history buff.

Sincerely,
Your Obedient Servant,
Francis C. Howland Jr.

Dear Francis C. Howland, Jr.,

Although much has been written about Gov. Walz’s ties to China that go back decades, most observers have been bored by them and assumed he was some sort of naif/useful small-time idiot in the eyes of the Chinese. The problem with discovering Tim Walz’s past is that much of it is fabricated and the rest is rarely reported and remains obscure.

Still, he has now retracted or amended many of his earlier misrepresentations: for example, he apparently only visited China about 15 times rather than his earlier boasts of 30 trips.

Walz was also not, as he claimed, at Tiananmen Square during the 1989 unrest.

As far as his fixation with communist China that began as a visiting teacher, he seems naively to have felt some admiration for China even, or because it was, under communism. I suppose he really believed that such a murderous society had achieved some sort of equality of result success.

In the manner that Bernie Sanders honeymooned in communist Russia with a record of murdering 20 million of its own, so Walz did the same in the PRC that more than tripled that death toll.

At times, Walz has sounded like an utter fool, as when he summed up his residence in such a totalitarian utopia, “No matter how long I live, I will never be treated that well again.”

You are certainly correct to note this larger, strange affinity of the American Left for the communist Chinese, whether exemplified by Diane Feinstein’s naïve and decades-long hiring of what turned out to be a communist spy chauffer, or Eric Swalwell’s tryst with the Mata Hari-like Chinese spy Fang-Fang, or Barack Obama’s communication aide Anita Dunn (who later was to join the Biden team), who bragged that the greatest mass murderer (50-60 million?) in history, Mao Zedong, was one of her “favorite philosophers.”

Still, in explaining all of Walz’s untruths and silly pronouncements, I would not necessarily attribute something sinister to them, since they can more easily be explained by his naivete, narcissism, and idiocy.

China, for the American Left, is analogous to Cuba—both supposed past victims of colonialism that nevertheless achieved a utopia of equality and class solidarity by warring against the West—albeit achieving their nirvana by breaking a few eggs to make their communist omelet.

I look forward every evening to your latest observations on YouTube. They are logical and rational and most educational. Thank you! Your calm demeanor and delivery are such a contrast to all the hyperbole that's "out there". I also enjoy your references to farming and your family heritage because I share that same background: my family have lived in this area for seven generations-five of those in the same county. We were successful citrus growers, my father and his brother having hand cleared the land with crosscut saws and mules in the '30's. We struggled for over 80 years to make a profit--and did every year, after 1938--but then the regulations and high prices for fertilizer, spray, etc. ended that profitability in about 2019. That, along with the disease called citrus "greening" caused us to finally sell the land that had so generously supported us for generations. Now, we have housing developments going up in place of the citrus groves. Sign of the times! Again, thank you for your podcasts, writings, etc. They restore my hope that there are still some who recognize the situation for what it really is and try to show it in a calm, rational way--with possible solutions. I hope President Trump and his advisers watch and listen to you from time to time.

Dear VDH: I am not an angry reader, except when I open your podcast site and I realize that I am up to date , and then I become a disappointed, but not angry, listener. I am entering this comment in hopes that it will get through your legion of admirers (to which i belong) tand come to your attention. I happen to be watching Eric Bollings first show on Real America's Voice (RAV). I don't know if he coined the following phrase, but I think it's really cool: TRUMP DERANGEMENT VICTIM. Using "victim" in place of "syndrome" seems more powerful - maybe because it suggests more of an individual problem rather than a "systemic" issue (another hateful phrase). I request your views as someone who, like Churchill, can 'mobilize the English Language and Send It to War.'

That's more than bitterness.

It's one thing to disagree with someone's political positions, but to call them stupid, especially someone like VDH who is obviously very intelligent...words fail me.

Most of what was written in the comments about Adam Jacobs were conservative versions of his ranting. It's data, truth and respect that's needed to help him see the light. None of you know what life has dealt him. We need to show him how he has been misguided and manipulated by his media sources and community leaders. I would love to meet Mr. Jacobs and share stories. I would then better understand his justified bitterness and from me he would hear how conservatism would help improve his outlook. It's amazing how persuasive the truth can be.

Yes indeed one must break eggs to construct an omelette however the broken eggs are simply discarded and thrown in the rubbish.

To my fellow readers, please forgive the rant. I realize there is a lot of ‘disinformation’ in the world-and let’s be honest, 30 years ago most of the places we know to be unflinchingly biased today (right or left) would have been considered ‘honest’ then. That is to say, if you were/are a longtime (and exclusive) consumer of the NYT or WAPO or most of the broadcast/cable news alphabets, you would have an understandably warped view of the world. And you might think those who do not subscribe to your views are garbage, ‘deplorables’, hobbits, and/or morons. I can-academically-get my head around why those poor, misguided millions think the way they do. What I do not understand about the rude, foul-mouthed Mr. Jacobs is his lack of common sense. Assuming he is more than 15yrs old, Mr. Jacob’s has been living on the same planet as the rest of us for the past 2 decades and has seen first hand the many disasters and excesses of the left. Whether that be the decay and destruction of our cities because of leftist rule or the myriad of dangerous conflicts stewing around the globe. The examples are many and manifest. All it takes to see them are open eyes and a modicum curiosity. So, why do you all think these people cannot see the reality in front of them? And calling someone a racist means nothing today. It has been so overused as to have no meaning anymore. Which is sad because true bigots should ID’d and ignored. Another thing the Mr. Jacobs ruined…

The American Left is fascinated with Red China, because they share their intellectual DNA. Both can trace their worldview back to the Jacobin phase of the French Revolution. They are as related to one another as breeds of cats are to each other. The American Left only wishes it could wield the same kind of power as the CCP does. They got close, in Wilson's administration, and again in FDR's. And they got entrenched and never really rolled back to the kind of government we last had under Coolidge. And with the long march through our education system and news and entertainment media, the American Left is now dug in like a tick. This election may be a refutation of the more radical policies of the American Left, but by itself, it won't roll them back. That will take a lot more time and effort to achieve, if we can even agree that we want to do it, and how to do it.

Thank - great comments, mr. Hanson! Just wanne let you know, I am gonna steal this one: "China, for the American Left, is analogous to Cuba—both supposed past victims of colonialism that nevertheless achieved a utopia of equality and class solidarity by warring against the West—albeit achieving their nirvana by breaking a few eggs to make their communist omelet." It is too good to not be used again. There is no one I would rather be accused of parroting than you, sir. Have a wonderful weekend!

Adam Jacobs seems like a parent's basement dwelling, peanut butter and jelly sandwich eating, long haired, unkempt, cannabis inhaling, bi-sexual dreamer of shooting up elementary schools. Sound about right?
