Context: On November 10, 2013, a Muslim imam was invited to give the Islamic call to prayer inside the Memorial Church of the Reformation in the city of Speyer, Germany\u2014a church dedicated to honoring Martin Luther and the Protestant Reformation.Several are the important lessons learned from last year\u2019s \u201cBrave German Woman\u201d incident.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen the brave German woman, whose real name is Heidi Mund, heard about the event, she prayed,\u201d reports\u00a0CBN News<\/a>.\u00a0 Not sure what she would do upon arrival, she grabbed her German flag emblazoned with the words \u201cJesus Christ is Lord\u201d and headed for the concert:\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cUntil the imam started with his shouting [\u201cAllahu Akbar!\u201d], I did not really know what to do. I was just prepared for what God wants me to do,\u201d she told CBN News.<\/p>\n

Then the Muslim call to prayer began, and Heidi said she felt something rising up inside her.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would call it a holy anger,\u201d she recounted. \u201cAnd then I rose with my flag and I was calling and proclaiming that Jesus Christ is Lord over Germany\u201d\u2026<\/p>\n

And she repeated the words of Martin Luther in 1521 after he refused to recant his faith in scripture alone: \u201cHere I stand. I can do no other\u201d and \u201cSave the church of Martin Luther!\u201d<\/p>\n

Video<\/a>\u00a0shows another concert-goer trying to calm her by saying, \u201cThis is a concert for peace.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mund can be heard responding in German, \u201cNo it\u2019s not! Allahu Akbar is what Muslims scream while murdering people! Don\u2019t be fooled! Don\u2019t be fooled! This is a lie!\u201d<\/p>\n

She was thrown out of the church.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey should have thrown the imam out and not me because I am a believer in Jesus Christ, but he serves another god. This Allah is not the same god. And this is not the truth.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis \u2018allahu akbar,\u2019 they use it when they kill people,\u201d she argued. \u201cThis is, for me, worship to an idol, to their god. And when a Muslim calls \u2018allahu akbar\u2019 in a church, that means this church is not a church anymore, it\u2019s a mosque.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Now for some lessons concerning the significance of this anecdote:<\/p>\n

Mund\u2019s observations about the phrase \u201cAllahu Akbar\u201d are spot-on.\u00a0 Islam\u2019s war cry, signifying the superiority of Muhammad\u2019s religion over all things, the\u00a0takbir<\/em>\u00a0(\u201cAllahu Akbar\u201d), is habitually proclaimed in violent contexts, specifically attacking and slaughtering non-Muslims, whether beheading \u201cinfidels\u201d or bombing churches.<\/p>\n

Muhammad himself used to cry it aloud prior to attacking non-Muslim tribes that refused to submit to his authority and religion.<\/p>\n

Accordingly, Mund\u2019s outrage at hearing an Islamic imam hollering out Islamic supremacist slogans is justified.\u00a0 \u00a0Proclaimed in a church, \u201cAllahu Akbar\u201d\u2014which in translation literally means \u201cAllah is\u00a0greater<\/em>\u00a0[than X]\u201d\u2014means \u201cAllahu is greater than the Judeo-Christian God of the Bible, and Father of Christ.\u201d<\/p>\n

And assuming the imam proclaimed Islam\u2019s credo or\u00a0shehada\u00a0<\/em>as is standard in the Muslim call to prayer (that \u201cthere is no god but Allah and Muhammad is his messenger\u201d) that too is tantamount to declaring that the biblical God is false, and the message (or Koran) delivered by Muhammad\u2014which includes a denunciation of Christ\u2019s divinity, death, and resurrection\u2014is true (see for examples Koran 4:157, 4:171, 5:17, 5:116, 9:30-31, 19:35).<\/p>\n

This is precisely what the vandal who earlier\u00a0painted in Arabic the phrase \u201cAllahu Akbar\u201d<\/a>\u00a0across the door of another German church likely had in mind.<\/p>\n

This speaks volumes about how far Western European nations have plummeted into a cesspool of moral relativism, where even in prominent churches Christian truths are attacked, and those who take a stand are ostracized for being \u201cintolerant\u201d; it speaks of the naivety and nihilism that predominate in the West; of the effects of years of brainwashing and indoctrination in the name of \u201cmulticulturalism,\u201d crippling the ability to think rationally; of how political correctness has censored not only words but the ability for people to connect-the-dots in the quiet of their own minds.Yet despite all this, despite the fact that only two or three generations ago, almost every Christian would have been incensed to hear a Muslim shouting Islamic slogans that by nature contradict Christianity inside a church, Mund was chastised by fellow Christians for her stand and kicked out.<\/p>\n

There is, however, a flipside to all this: Mund\u2019s video denouncing the imam \u201cwent viral,\u201d says CBN News, signifying its appeal; and many who saw it interpreted her actions as \u201cbrave\u201d\u2014hence the appellation.\u00a0 \u201cBravery\u201d often refers to an act that, while laudable, few have the courage to do.\u00a0 That this title is so naturally and widely applied to Mund suggests that there are many who agree with her; they just lack the same courage, or conviction, to take a vocal stand\u2014hence why she is the \u201cBrave German Woman.\u201d<\/p>\n

The fact is, beneath Western Europe\u2019s nihilistic veneer, many there would agree with Mund\u2019s sentiments.\u00a0 Not all are sheep.\u00a0 But due to the aforementioned forces\u2014decades of indoctrination in militant secularism\/atheism, multiculturalism, Christian-bashing, and political correctness\u2014they are unable to articulate their grievance.<\/p>\n

Yet, whether they are able to express it or not, they remain disgruntled at Muslim affronts and weak responses from European elites.<\/p>\n

After all, Muslims hollering Islamic slogans inside European churches is not quite an infrequent phenomenon.\u00a0 Last Christmas, the Chaplain of Royal Holloway University invited a\u00a0veiled Muslim woman to read Koran verses during church service<\/a>, again, despite the fact that the Koran contradicts the key tenets of Christianity.<\/p>\n

Sometimes Muslims \u201cinvite\u201d themselves to churches.\u00a0 Thus, days ago, also in the UK, a Muslim man\u2014\u201cdressed like a terrorist\u201d and wearing a bandana with the Arabic phrase, \u201cAllahu Akbar\u201d\u2014entered a church during service<\/a>\u00a0and started yelling things like \u201cthis is rubbish, you should be preaching Allah, turn to Islam, we send boys of 10 to war.\u201d<\/p>\n

And last Easter in France saw a Muslim man dressed in traditional Islamic attire enter a church during mass,\u00a0set up his carpet next to the altar<\/a>\u00a0and start reading the Koran.<\/p>\n

This is to say nothing of the\u00a0violent crimes<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0rapes<\/a>\u00a0Muslims are increasingly responsible for in Europe.<\/p>\n

The point is, more and more Western Europeans are becoming disgruntled, even if most are not yet \u201cbrave\u201d enough to show it, and even if the powers-that-be, including media and government, continue to downplay and suppress them.<\/p>\n

Days ago, for example, Britain\u2019s Liberty GB party leader Paul Weston\u00a0was arrested<\/a>\u00a0and is facing up to two-years\u2019 jail time simply for quoting Winston Churchill\u2019s unflattering observations about Islam in public.<\/p>\n

In short, time will tell whether the powers-that-be will allow legitimate criticism of Islam to vent in Europe, or whether they will continue to suppress it\u2014until the simmering cauldron of discontent spills over in ways much more dramatic than quoting Luther or Churchill, as has happened all too often in European history.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
