The supreme leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, the head of the Islamist snake, Muhammad Badie\u2014who had slipped security forces by traveling in and out of the\u00a0Brotherhood torture camps<\/a>\u00a0(known as \u201cpeaceful sits ins\u201d by the mainstream media\u201d)\u2014has finally been arrested in Egypt and is awaiting trial.\u00a0 Not only was he the leader of the Brotherhood, but, according to Brotherhood members themselves, he was\u00a0giving orders<\/a>\u00a0to his underling, Muhammad Morsi, the now ousted Egyptian president.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Among other serious accusations, Badie is being charged with inciting widespread terrorism and murder and playing a key role in the current violence and unrest in Egypt\u2014also known as \u201cthe jihad\u201d\u2014which has led to the destruction of some 80 Christian churches and monasteries, the violent slaughters of Egyptian police, and any number of other criminal activities.<\/p>\n

If Badie, as a Brotherhood member on live TV\u00a0slipped into saying<\/a>, used to order president Morsi around, surely his authority over the average Brotherhood member\u2014the very fellows now burning and slaughtering\u2014was ironclad.<\/p>\n

Nor was Badie\u2019s terrorism limited to domestic Egypt.\u00a0 After his prot\u00e9g\u00e9e Morsi became president, an emboldened Badie\u00a0publicly proclaimed<\/a>\u00a0\u201cthe necessity for every Muslim to strive to save al-Quds [Jerusalem] from the hands of the rapists [Israelis] and to cleanse Palestine from the clutches of the occupation, deeming this an individual duty for all Muslims.\u201d\u00a0 More specifically, he \u201ccalled on all Muslims to wage jihad with their money and their selves to free al-Quds\u201d\u2014the same exact language one finds in al-Qaeda\u2019s tracts.\u00a0 Unsurprisingly, the\u00a0Wiesenthal Center<\/a>named him the top anti-Semite of 2012.<\/p>\n

Nor did the United States escape his venom.\u00a0 Badie\u00a0has described<\/a>\u00a0the U.S. as an infidel nation that \u201cdoes not champion moral and human values and cannot lead humanity,\u201d while referring to both the U.S. and Israel as \u201cthe Muslim\u2019s real enemies,\u201d asserting that \u201c[w]aging jihad against both of these infidels is a commandment of Allah that cannot be disregarded.\u201d And he\u00a0maintains\u00a0that the \u201cchange that the [Muslim] nation seeks can only be attained through jihad and sacrifice and by raising a jihadi generation that pursues death just as the enemies pursue life.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMastership of the world<\/a>\u201d was his stated goal and ultimate aspiration for the Brotherhood.<\/p>\n

In a normal world, then, Americans\u2014like millions of anti-Brotherhood Egyptians\u2014should be glad to hear that this leading inciter of terrorism and hate has been arrested.<\/p>\n

But of course, in the bizarro world that is the mainstream media of America, the arrest of the Brotherhood chieftain is bad news.\u00a0 For example, the consistently pro-Islamist and terrorist-apologist David Kirkpatrick of the\u00a0New York Times<\/a>\u00a0is portraying the arrest of Badie and possible release of president Hosni Mubarak\u2014whose\u00a0predictions concerning the Brotherhood<\/a>, including how they exploit democracy to eliminate democracy and engage in terrorism but then portray themselves as victims before the world, have all come true\u2014as \u201ca measure of how far and how quickly the tumult shaking Egypt in recent days and weeks has rolled back the changes brought by the revolution of 2011.\u201d\u00a0 In other words, arresting the man responsible for the slaughter of innocent officers, the burning of dozens of Christian churches, and the\u00a0sexual harassment of nuns<\/a>\u2014is a return to \u201cautocracy.\u201d\u00a0 Such is the whole tone and tenor of the silly NYT report.<\/p>\n

As for the murders and terrorism attributed to the Brotherhood, Kirkpatrick tries to brush these away as \u201cclaims\u201d\u00a0that cannot be trusted, since they are being broadcast on \u201cEgyptian media\u201d\u2014the bogey man word, as if Egypt\u2019s media was as corrupt as America\u2019s leftist media\u2014without bothering to mention that any number of free, independent media have also been reporting the same things the Egyptian media has\u2014that the Brotherhood are terrorizing Egypt.<\/p>\n

But of course the NYT is simply following the White House\u2019s lead, which, when recently asked at a press conference about the idea that Egypt is considering dissolving the Brotherhood due to the organization\u2019s terrorist activities, said that dissolving the Brotherhood would be a \u201cbad idea.\u201d Such are the signs of our times: when 30 million Egyptians march in the streets calling for the ouster of the Islamist Brotherhood, and the people\u2019s military obliges them, and then the Brotherhood responds with nonstop terrorism against Egypt\u2014the U.S sides with the terrorists.<\/p>\n

Thus we are left with good news and bad.\u00a0 With the June 30 revolution, millions of Egyptians awoke to the reality of a corrupt, Islamist government, and rejected it. That would be the good news. \u00a0Meanwhile, the U.S. media and government continue lying to a half-asleep people\u2014portraying good as evil and evil as good.\u00a0 That would be the bad news.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
