At least your letter is free of the usual Angry Reader\ncapital letters, profanity, and slurs, although you make accusations about a\nrecent essay I wrote on elite disparagement of so-called average Americans (\u201c \u2018Gray\nMatter\u2019\u2013Deficient Americans\u201d) without citing a single fact, quotation, or\nparticular name to ground your accusations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And, of course, also in Angry Reader fashion, you resort\nto the usual reductio ad fascism (e.g., \u201ca case for Mussolini\u201d). Trump, unlike\nMussolini, is in constitutional fashion up for reelection, and his agenda has\nto be ratified by a Congress, while he is subject to constant judicial review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In terms of fascist anti-Semitism, Trump is the most\npro-Israel, and perhaps pro-Jewish president in memory. He has a decided\ndistaste for optional or preemptory wars, and does not wear uniforms, give\n4-hour speeches, or form \u201cpacts of steel\u201d with fascist nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, he has taken on communist China on trade, is\nfar tougher on authoritarian Russia than was the \u201creset\u201d Obama administration,\nand broke off the Obama Iran Deal with a theocratic and murderous Iranian\ngovernment. So again, you should supply some evidence to support what are\notherwise incoherent assertions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Erasing your bookmark to National Review I suggest is a\nsuperb idea and could spare you further heartache and angst of the sort you\ndemonstrate here.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
