{"id":11834,"date":"2019-05-20T11:34:28","date_gmt":"2019-05-20T18:34:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/victorhanson.com\/wordpress\/?p=11834"},"modified":"2019-05-20T11:34:37","modified_gmt":"2019-05-20T18:34:37","slug":"he-did-it-not-me","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/victorhanson.com\/wordpress\/he-did-it-not-me\/","title":{"rendered":"He Did It, Not Me!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Victor Davis Hanson \/\/ American Greatness<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is something Kafkaesque about the current round of investigating possible FBI, CIA, National Security Agency, Justice Department, and National Security Council wrongdoing during the 2016 election, Trump transition, and early presidency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Special Counsel Robert Mueller had been permitted to range well beyond his mandate of \u201cRussian collusion.\u201d He outsourced much of the selection of his \u201cdream team\u201d and \u201call-star\u201d staff of attorneys to his deputy, Andrew Weissman. In turn, Weissman\u2014who commiserated with Hillary Clinton at her ill-fated \u201cvictory\u201d party on the evening of her defeat\u2014stocked the team with Trump-haters, liberals and progressives, Clinton donors, a few who had previously served as attorneys for the Clinton Foundation, and Clinton or Obama aides.
