So here are ten reasons why more than 40% of the electorate probably does &#8212; and will.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1.<\/strong>\u00a0Voters appreciate that the economy is currently experiencing\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/money\/2019\/03\/08\/jobs-report-just-20-000-added-february-economists-expected-181-000\/3098383002\/\" target=\"_blank\">near record-low peacetime unemployment<\/a>,\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/card\/fact-check-trump-claims-credit-best-ever-jobs-numbers-african-n967421\" target=\"_blank\">record-low minority unemployment<\/a>, and virtual 3% annualized GDP\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/tradingeconomics.com\/united-states\/gdp-growth-annual\" target=\"_blank\">growth<\/a>.\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2018\/12\/19\/chart-in-real-terms-interest-rates-are-still-near-zero.html\" target=\"_blank\">Interest<\/a>\u00a0and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.marketwatch.com\/story\/inflation-perks-up-in-february-cpi-shows-but-prices-pressures-are-still-muted-2019-03-12\" target=\"_blank\">inflation\u00a0<\/a>rates remain low. Workers&#8217; wages\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2018\/11\/02\/economy\/jobs-report-october\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">increased\u00a0<\/a>after years of stagnation. The US is now the world&#8217;s\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2019\/03\/08\/business\/us-oil-exports-saudi-arabia\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">largest producer of oil and natural gas<\/a>. And gasoline prices remain affordable. The President continues to redress asymmetrical trade with China, as well as with former NAFTA partners and Europe. He jawbones companies to curb offshoring and outsourcing. The current economic recovery and low consumer prices have uplifted millions of middle-class Americans who appreciate the upswing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2.<\/strong>\u00a0Trump does not exist in a vacuum. Many supporters turned off by some of his antics are still<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/card\/nbc-news-wsj-poll-just-19-percent-voters-view-socialism-n912666\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a0far more appalled<\/a>\u00a0by an emerging radical neo-socialist Democratic agenda. If the alternative to Trump is a disturbing tolerance among some Democrats for anti-Semitism, the Green New Deal, reparations, a permissive approach to abortion even very late in pregnancy, a wealth tax, a 70-90% top income tax rate, the abolition of ICE, open borders, and Medicare for all, Trump&#8217;s record between 2017-20 will seem moderate and preferable. Progressives do not fully appreciate how the hysterics and media coverage of the Kavanaugh hearings, the Covington teenagers and the Jussie Smollett psychodrama turned off half the country.
