Victor Davis Hanson \/\/ National Review<\/p>\n

In the past, I have often enjoyed Kevin Williamson\u2019s essays. Even when I found them occasionally incoherent and cruel, I thought it hardly my business to object to a colleague\u2019s writing. But I gather, under changed circumstances, such deference no longer applies, given that in\u00a0Williamson\u2019s very first column at\u00a0The Atlantic<\/em><\/a>\u00a0he attacks both me, and in a backhanded way, his former employer\u00a0National Review<\/span>\u00a0for publishing a\u00a0recent article I wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Last week, my former\u00a0National Review<\/em>\u00a0colleague Victor Davis Hanson published an essay calling for a stronger regulatory hand over high-tech companies, fondly recalling the \u201ccultural revolution of muckraking and trust-busting\u201d of the 19th century, and ending with a plea for \u201csome sort of bipartisan national commission that might dispassionately and in disinterested fashion offer guidelines to legislators\u201d about more tightly regulating these companies, perhaps on the public-utility model.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
