Victor Davis Hanson
Item: Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) on that propaganda news that some Iranian ships claim that they broke through the American blockade, a move intended to bankrupt the terrorist regime, the senator in response posted on social media, “Awesome.”
Item: Tom Friedman, New York Times columnist, remarked in an interview that while he wished the removal of the Iranian theocracy, he couldn’t really say so, since that would mean Trump’s Iranian intervention was successful, and thus would enhance Trump and Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu. In other words, he would rather see the enemy win, than Trump get some credit for his country’s victory.
Item: Lots of Democrats, in Congress and in the media, among them Jimmy Kimmel, claim that the Iranian fragmented theocracy was the more honest and veracious party than was the American delegation and Donald Trump. This comes after Iran was recently revealed to have lied for decades about the quantity of enriched uranium they now possess and the range of their ballistic missiles, which, contrary to past assertions, can reach targets 2,500 miles distant (i.e., most European capitals).
Item: At an international socialist conference in Barcelona, hosted by the anti-American socialist/communist Spanish government, which during the current Iran war denied the Americans’ use of the joint NATO base in Spain, as well as Spanish airspace, Minnesota governor Tim Walz claimed that Trump?s conduct of the war and the idea of hitting Iran in general were “fascism.”
An American governor travels to a belligerent of the U.S. that deliberately has made resupply more difficult to our troops, and at a time when American soldiers are at war abroad, and attacks his own country while claiming that the Iranians offered no threat to the U.S.—the terrorist state that has killed more Americans than any other terrorist entity.
These more recent outbursts simply emphasize the general mindset of the Democrat Party that feels the Iran War—if properly trashed, misrepresented, and opposed nonstop—might be able to do what its Russian collusion, laptop disinformation, two impeachments, 5 criminal and civil suits, the deballoting attempt, the Mar-a-Lago raid, the Tesla violent protests, the violent ICE demonstrations, and the No Kings rallies, could not: finally break the Trump hold on power, by ensuring he would lose the midterm elections, lose the Congress, and then be impeached, and rendered inert in his final two years in office.
The Democrats are not naive in their self-fulfilling prophecies. By openly siding with Iran in efforts to destroy Trump and lose the war, they know they are empowering the Iranians to resist U.S. demands—and the resulting stall/stall/stall will weaken Trump as oil, economic, and political pressures will force him to grant concessions. That in turn then becomes in circular fashion another one of their arguments why Trump and the U.S. are losing the war.
In truth, the American Left has entered an unspoken partnership with the Iranian theocracy, somewhat similar to the anti-war Left of the 1960s and 1970s of the Tom Hayden, Jane Fonda sort who were de facto allies of the North Vietnamese. Both sides see their political survival as synonymous with the humiliation of Trump.
Verdict: Losers. No matter the midterm calculation, the Trump polls, the great risks in neutering Iran, rooting for the enemy in a time of war is a losing proposition.

My 8th grade thesis was about Hiroshima. I read multiple books in order to prepare the thesis. One image I can never forget is the book describing the destruction. The author described a young female corpse some 10 miles from the blast. She happened to be looking in the direction of the bomb as it detonated. Of course her face was charred, but even more grotesque was the fact that her eyeballs were melted on her face. This is the kind of horror that Trump is trying to prevent, not just for MAGA, but for slimy progressives and European wimps. The actions of the Left are detestable!
VDH - As always...right on point. Last night's California governor debate was a circus. When asked how they would rate Newsom's job performance for the last eight years, the liberals responded with "bold", "game changing" and other head spinning remarks. Lastly, the CNN moderators asked each of the panelists "which actor would you want to play you in a movie?". Typical CNN moderator nonsense question. The cherry on top was Tom Steyer's answer "Gregory Peck" who has been dead for over 20 years.
