A US Ground War With Iran Would Be Costly and Likely Unnecessary

Many Americans are wary of U.S. boots on the ground in the Middle East after the Afghanistan and Iraq wars that became “endless.” President Trump’s comment about possible “boots on the ground” is likely just “Art of the Deal” rhetoric, explains Victor Davis Hanson.  “I think his point was that you’re never going to tell the enemy what you’re going to do.”

Victor, I agree with some of your comments on Kristi Noem with the exception of suggesting that she be less glamorous. I am 62 years old and I see nothing wrong with a woman wanting to maintain her beauty as she ages with all the advances in the beauty industry. I too, have hair extensions and periodically do things like Botox or lip filler. Not all of us accept the phrase “age gracefully” and I’m fine with those women who choose that route. With that being said, some of us enjoy being a more glamorous version of ourselves and not a plain Jane. I also don’t think it’s necessary to downplay your beauty just because you have a certain role in your employment. Suggesting a woman be less feminine to be taken seriously is outdated.
